Discovery meeting

A discovery meeting is an initial phase in our design process where we sit down together to explore and understand your business, goals, and vision for the project. It’s a collaborative session where we gather valuable information about your brand, target audience, competitors, and the specific objectives you want to achieve through the design work.

During this meeting, we’ll discuss things like your company’s history, values, and the unique aspects that set you apart in your industry. We’ll also discuss your preferences regarding design styles, colors, and any specific ideas you have in mind. This helps us ensure that the designs we create not only meet but exceed your expectations.

The main goal during this stage is to establish a solid foundation for the project. By aligning our understanding of your business objectives and design preferences early on, we can create designs that resonate with your brand identity and effectively communicate your message to your target audience.

Research & Concept development

This involves gathering and analyzing information to guide the design project. Defining what the project aims to achieve is crucial. Then we start identifying target demographic (age, gender, location, and other details) and understanding their needs and preferences. We research any current trends in the industry including analyzing competitors’ designs to understand what works and identify opportunities to stand out. 

Finally, we crate mood boards by collecting images, color palettes, typography examples, and other visual elements that align with the research we’ve compiled. By using a mood board, we can ensure that the final design not only meets but exceeds your expectations by starting with a clear, agreed-upon visual direction!

Developing a first draft

The first draft is a crucial step in the graphic design process. It provides a visual foundation for the project, facilitates effective communication, and ensures that the final design will be closely aligned with your vision and requirements. It most likely wont be perfect but we try to get it as close as we can with the assets and content we have available to us. By working through drafts, the design evolves and improves, resulting in a more refined and effective final product.

Feedback & edits

This is where you get to really shine! Your input in very valuable durning this part of the process. Making the design work for your clients and meet the needs of the project is important but most of all we want you to love it! After the first draft, we will send you a PDF for you to review at your leisure. The best way for these changes to happen quickly and efficiently is for you to reply back on the PDF using comment boxes so we can avoid any confusion or miscommunication. Feel free to give honest and concise feedback! We promise our feelings will not be hurt if you do not like an aspect of the design we presented. These are first drafts after all!

We may have a few rounds of feedback and edits depending on the budget of the project. This ensures we get every detail ironed out!

Final draft

A final draft in graphic design is the polished, completed version of a design that incorporates all the revisions and feedback received throughout the design process. It represents the culmination of all the work done to meet the project’s objectives and align with your vision.
